project life | disneyland + digital layouts

We went back to Disneyland in October. On a Wednesday because I read on mousesavers.com said that it’s least crowded on Wednesdays and Thursdays. And they were right! The average wait time was 15 minutes per ride. The only downfall was that Pirates of the Carribean and a Small World was closed that day.

Close up of left side. Very photo intensive. The only memorabilia I included was our ticket stub.

Never imagined that meeting Mickey Mouse would make Madeline so happy.

Used a 6×12 photo protector to include more photos.

Right side. Trying out a new page protector (Design E) here.

These are 6×6 pockets – enlarged two of my favorite photos taken in the month of October and printed out two digital layouts that I made in October.  (Placed everything on a 12×12 file and had it printed at costco.com for $2.99.) Adhered the circle tag with a pop-dot adhesive.

I love this page protector design. Ideal for displaying layouts, great for end-of-month summary pages, so many possibilities.

PRODUCTS I USED

Binder (American Crafts 12×12 cloth D-ring), Page Protectors (Becky Higgins Design A), Page Protectors (Becky Higgins Design E), Red Label (vintage blank label rubber stamp by purple onion designs), Circle month tag (round about now by paislee press)

I love coming here! 🙂 Thank you for sharing all this with us Liz!

Very cool Liz! I didn’t really care for the Design E page protectors, but you’ve totally sold me. 🙂 What font did you use for ‘this much I know’ and ‘do you know?’ Thanks!!

Thanks so much Nicole. They are hand drawn (included in my latest digital kit, This Much and This Much wordart add-on pack).

so cute. Must check it out now!

Amazing as always! I love how you’re doing PL. So inspiring! The doily is lovely. Where do you buy yours? I’d love some in my December Daily album. 🙂

Thanks Nicole! I picked them up at Joann’s. I didn’t know you were doing DD. I can’t wait to see it!

Thanks! I have to go there for more thread as it is. 😀

My first DD pages are on my blog, here: http://nicole.webseitler.com/category/december-daily/

2 posts so far… 🙂

I am really loving your take on PL!

Loving what you did with the big squares. Might have to get those page protectors now!

hey! i LOVE your stuff and (this might be a dumb question) but all of the pl creative team members seem to have some sort of digital elements… what kind of paper do you print on? mine look great on the computer and dont look as great after i print?

Hi Taylor,

I use cover weight cardstock (white & kraft) from paper source.

love the way you wrapped your presents!

Thank you!

I LOVE your PL stuff! So creative and inspiring. I was wondering how you worked out the BACK of the Design E page protector. How did you incorporate it into your next week? I’d really love to know more about how to make the album flow better when I veer off from the standard page protector. Thanks so much for sharing!!

Hi Liz,

I love you project life layouts. I ordered every page protector Becky has to offer thinking I was going to use them all. Now I see from looking at the creative teams blog that you all are using mostly design A. I’m feeling I wont be able to mixed designs because I’m not sure how it will work. I was excited to see you used E. But what about when you turn page protector E over to start your new two page layout. Will you start with back of design E. This would mean design E would be on the left now and design A on the right. Im confused on how your next layout will start.

Thanks

Hi Tina,

I haven’t finished the spread yet, but I did think about how I would work out the other side before I committed to using Design E. I plan on using the other side of Design E to do a recap/overview of the month of November – using a mix of favorite 6×6 photos and printing out digital layouts that I made that month. And then transition back to Design A. Hoping this get this done in the next few days. Once I do, I’ll post the pages here.
