I’ve seriously slacked off in the past few years. I’ve gotten into the bad habit of sharing work-in-progress shots on Instagram and not following through with posting completed projects here. My goal in the next few months is to get a bulk of those projects photographed and up on the blog. Today I’m sharing more pages from my December Daily 2016 album.
Day 13 | The gifted gold foil on kraft is from a Banana Republic shopping bag. Photos: contents from an online order and a knitting project in progress.
Day 14 | This is probably the most colorful spread you’ll ever see in any of my albums. I chose the red pattern paper to complement the design from the holiday card (my favorite from all the cards we received in 2016) on the left side.
Day 15 | Trying to incorporate more journaling this year. For this entry I wrote about why the xmas tree sat undecorated for over a week. December is always a busy month but what keeps us busy changes year by year. I’m glad that I wrote down what “busy” meant in 2016. (Remembering their skyway project for school still makes me shudder).
Confession: I added the “good times” tab and star to the 3×8 insert after I photographed this spread. I like the clean and simple look but the insert with just the photo looked unfinished. I think black and white photo needed the pops of color from the added embellishments.
Day 16 | A simply, photo heavy page documenting lunch with family. The bottom photo w/ journaling was created using a 4×6 template from THIS SET in my shop.
Day 17 | Another super simple photo + words spread. The bottom collage was created using the same template set as above (4×6 Photo Templates Vol. 6)
Here I included the same shot taken the year before (top left) and this year (right) for comparison.
Day 18 | Xmas shopping day. Lots of gold embossing throughout the album.
Day 19 and 20 | Trying to incorporate more hand written notes.
