December Daily® 2013 (Part 2 of 2)

I’m on the home stretch to completing our December Daily album…from 2013. Yes, I’m two years behind on documenting but I’m giving myself a pat on the back regardless.

Day 13 | Kraft envelope + whimsical holiday stamp makes for a fun album insert (see what’s on the other side of the envelope HERE). Paired with an iphone photo of tree trimmings.

Day 14 & 15 | The girl’s winter show performance.

Day 16 | Highlights of our day at Disneyland.

I think everyone has this shot of The Small World holiday scene. This was totally a case of being at the right place at the right time and this photo really doesn’t do it justice. Watching it light up was truly breathtaking and magical.

Dec 17 | Scenes of the mantel, decorated for the holidays.

Dec 18 | Room Mom Duties + xmas shopping documented.

My favorite spreads are ones that stand the test of time. You know, the ones you look back on years later and still love, exactly as is? A full photo page paired with text printed on white cardstock always wins me over.

Dec 19 | Holiday Lunch at school

Dec 21 | Holiday gathering with friends. On the right side, I printed a series of iphone selfies with black frames to create a photobooth-ish look. I kinda dig the way it turned out.

Dec 22 | Last minute christmas shopping. Every year I vow that the next year will be different (as in I’ll have all holiday shopping done by Thanksgiving) but it never happens.

Dec 23 | Audrey’s 6th Birthday. 3 spreads to document the momentous occasion.

Perhaps my favorite spread in the album…a black and white photo paired with matte gold accents.

It’s never too late. I love seeing the way you approach album projects. I walk away inspired every time.

Thanks so much for your encouraging words Yolanda!

Perfect and timeless. Makes me wish I did one last year.

I’m looking for this cute binder, but a google search didn’t bring up any 6×8 rebinder finds. Any tips?

Christina, my mistake, the binder dimensions are actually 7×9. Here’s the link (also updated and added to the post above): http://www.guidedproducts.com/products/1-rebinder-recycled-binders-mini-select

Thanks so much!

Liz, seriously. Drooling over here. Your work inspires me to no end. Adding this to my Weekend Favorites for today because who wouldn’t want to see this? 😉

You are too good to me. Thank you Kara!!

Do you just use your printer to print your patterned paper? Seems like a silly question but I feel like my pima runs out of ink quickly when i do stuff like this? How often do you have to replace your cartridges?

Yes, I do print the patterned papers at home but they don’t take too much ink when I’m printing for this album – the inserts are 6×8 or smaller. Typically, the patterned papers that I tend to use more print aren’t saturated with color so it doesn’t take up too much ink. Though, for this album, most of the 6×8 patterned papers are from the Gossamer Blue December Memories Kit, a mix of the 2014 and 2015 kits.

LIZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ…… now I want to re*think & simplify my entire DD layout process … UGH … I love this so much.

Omigosh. Thank you so much Kari!!

SO – do you print the pages at home? If so, how do you design it in PS for print. I was thinking of using a boarder and then cut the boarder off? I am worried that I will end up with pages that are different cuts because the background is white and hard to determine where it starts and ends.
