Sharing 3 weeks worth of project life entries today.
This is the week of August 21 – 27.
Lots of play dates this week, one of them was with Jaime of three paper peonies in person. Bummed that we didn’t get a photo together but we got lots of our kids playing together. (Then & Now Journaling Card by paislee press + three paper peonies).
Photo taken by Audrey using a camera phone. (vintage blank label by purple onion designs)
Self portrait by Audrey. Mounted the drawing on white cardstock and slipped into an 8.5×11 page protector (american crafts).
Followed the same format on the other side.
A couple of photos from our trip to cabazon and a tag from one of our purchases that day.
Nothing spectacular going on with this photo, just wanted to mention that the burgers at the farm are really good.

This spread covers the weeks of August 28th – September 10th. Two weeks of content here with no insert! Some weeks are just like that. Things get busy and I forget to bring out the camera. Other weeks I take more pictures that I know what to do with. It works either way, I love that about project life.
Another food shot. Again, nothing spectacular going on here except to say that the thin pancakes at pie n’ burger are the best. I like mine with lots of butter. So bad, yet soooo good.
A quote from Madeline. (journaling card from then & now printables by paislee press + three paper peonies)
A self portrait + and list of things I’m doing at the moment. This is probably as close to doing an all about me album as I’ll get. This is another reason I love project life. I don’t need to maintain separate albums (all about me, funny things my kids say, etc.). All of those things are being recorded in this one album. And if one day down the road I do decide to do a separate album, all the information I need to put the album together is in this project life album.
I love the look of doillies + typewriter text.
Photo collage of the girls coloring. (snapshots frames)
PRODUCTS I USED
Binder (American Crafts 12×12 cloth D-ring), Page Protectors (Becky Higgins Design A), 3×4 Journaling Cards (Becky Higgins), Red Label (vintage blank label rubber stamp by purple onion designs), Black ViewFinder Frames (snapshots the frames by paislee press), Black Striped Journaling Card (then & now printable journaling cards set by paislee press + three paper peonies)
Project Life is a system created by Becky Higgins. Read more about it HERE. All of my project life entries can be found HERE.
I am just starting to follow your project life and I’m just LOVING it so much. I really want to do this starting in the new year and am trying to wrap my head around which page protectors to go with. I love the look of yours but am wondering how you deal with the 3×4 vertical openings for photos. Do you just cut your 4×6’s down after you have them printed? Just beautiful and beyond inspirational!! Thanks for always sharing such amazing work.
Thank you Tara! For the 3×4, yes, I print them as 4×6’s and cut in half. Excited that you are contemplating starting in 2012, you are going to love it.
Liz, this is so lovely! Your clean, simple style inspires me. I had to order one of those label stamps from Purple Onion the other day because I love how you use it in your Project Life. Thank you for the inspiration!
This is one of my most favorite LOs of yours yet. So pretty. I was wondering what font you used? Is the journaling cards’ font different than the font on the pancake picture? I love it!
i love the drawings mounted on cardstock – perfect for those odd sizes!
Oh, one more question (for now)…do you print your journaling cards on your home printer? Or get them printed at a lab with your photos? They look great!
home printer. This is how I do it: http://paisleepress.com/2011/08/project-life-how-to-print/
Excellent. I saw that instruction on how to print on the PL grid cards (which is genius). Just wondering if you do the same for your then and now journaling cards too? Or do you just digitally do those and then print them as 4x6s at Costco? I have those cards in my oscraps shopping cart right now and I was just trying to determine if you print them at home or just print finished versions with the journaling on them from photoshop at somewhere besides your home printer. Sorry if I’m not being clear (3 month old and 4 year old at home = mommy brain)! 🙂
Alright! You’ve convinced me!
I HAVE to do this.
Adding items to my Christmas wishlist right now.
Thanks for being inspiring. You rock.
I’m always SO SO happy to read your PL posts–always so fun and man are your kids gorgeous! 😀
you are amazing.
OMG Liz! This is just wonderful!!! I’d wish I could do something like that!
P.S. I love Audrey’s self portrait! 🙂
SO excited to get started with this in the upcoming New Year! Thanks for always being so inspiring Liz, and for sharing!
I love the doilies. Where did you get them?
