Finished the girls’ halloween costumes over the weekend. Actually it didn’t involve much work at all.
For the Thing 1 and Thing 2 decals I first printed out an oval measuring 5 x 6 (made in photoshop) and used it as a template to cut the white felt. Then I used black felt stickers (available at Joann’s for $2 per pack) to spell out Thing 1 and Thing 2.
Sew the decals on. Add red bottoms to the outfit.
Add blue wig.
Gotta work on getting the hair to hang right. And hopefully Thing I will be smiling on Halloween.
Thing 1 and Thing 2 are adorably cute! Love the costumes!
Thanks Melinda!
They are so adorable! I love that “thing 1” isn’t smiling- that’s reality! I also love that your costumes are creative and not just plucked off the shelf. My daughter wanted to be Belle this year, so we have a Disney Princess dress as a costume. For a creative mom, it’s a bit of a let down. Hopefully next year she’ll let me do something fun like this!
Just too cute! The perfect thing for siblings. 🙂
Hilarious! They are adorable! Love the idea! Homemade costumes are the best!
Hilarious! LOVE IT! You are so darn creative!!! I’m laughing at dd 1…she didn’t look too happy! You guys will all look back at this and laugh! Thanks for sharing!

It just can’t get any cuter than this! LOVE! You are so creative!
Ooooh!! So clever! I *hated* Thing One and Thing 2! I remember the indignation I felt every time I read that book. LOL! Your kids are adorable, and previous posters extolling your creative virtues are 100% right!
