I am so glad I got to experience this beautiful city.
If I were to go again, there are a few things I’d do differently. Like I’d eat a heck of a lot more crepes. And croissants.
And I would take a photo of the Mona Lisa.
Because that’s what people do when they visit the Louvre. I didn’t get a photo because I thought the sign said NO PHOTOGRAPHY and being the stereotypical follow-the-rules Asian that I am, I didn’t take a photo.
Later on I realized the sign must have said no FLASH photography.
Better luck next time.
…………………….
I am hard at work on a couple of different projects, but none of them are anywhere near completion, so no new kits from me this week.
Do you know who does have a new kit coming out? One Little Bird. This one is going to knock your socks off. She just posted a sneak peek on her blog and she’s hosting a giveaway there so be sure to stop by and try your luck!
What a gorgeous kit!!
Like you, we got the impression that it was NO PHOTOGRAPHY at all. I thought that was the case in much of the Louvre.
How funny!! I am one of those people that took a photo of the Mona Lisa!! I was young and impulsive, what can I say…it's a lousy photo, somebody's big head is obscuring my view. I took it so quickly, so as not to get caught…but at least I have a photo of the Mona Lisa!!
Wow, gorgeous photo! I should be so lucky as to get to Paris one day!! Saw the sneak peak on Peppermint's blog earlier this morning – looks fabulous – can't wait to see your new projects too
Such a pretty blog ….visiting via Moline.
Ha, this made me giggle, Liz. It isn't just stereotypical Asians–I think stereotypical non-Asian eldest children fit in this cateogory too… like this summer, how I checked the website of the venue we went to a concert at and it said no photography so I sadly and reluctantly left my camera at home. Maybe one of the 20 billion other people who had their cameras with them taking shots the entire concert will share a photo or two with me ; )
esther – I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one that read the sign that way!
Angie – good for you Angie! We're only young once.
Lisa – I hope you do get to go one day.
Barbara – Thank you for visiting.
Elizabeth – Lol, the oldest child syndrome! You are I are so much alike, I did the same thing for the last concert I went to.
There were some many people standing in front of me when I went to the Louvre to see the Mona Lisa, that I couldn't of taken a photo even if I wanted to!!! It may also have something to do with the fact that I was only 13 at the time & being "dragged" round another museum by my dad … oh how foolish was I?!?!?! Hugs, sue.falstaff
I got good photos of her, if you want them! Paris is my favorite place in the whole world.
Glad you like her, too, Liz!
Liz, if you come back one time in paris, just tell me…It will be a pleasure to meet you there
