Happy Sunday and welcome to another blueprints: conversations in album design post.
Layered template sets are great album design tools. They are especially great for folks like me, the control freak-ish type. With layered templates, the hard work is done so you can jump straight to the fun part – micro managing the heck out of the template. Change colors, increase the font size, add a textured background paper – do what you need to do to make the page yours.
Today we are featuring two different sets of layered templates and you will have a chance to win them!

Molly Weight of Biograffiti loves creating full album templates that coordinate and make it easy to put together an entire album ready for gift giving or photobook printing.
Pictured above is a sample of a photobook she made using the hip to be square templates.
Molly printed the pages at home using matte photo paper, then cut to 8×8 sheets and assembled into a cloth covered scrapbook album. A project like this can be completed in one weekend.

one person will receive this layered template album by Crystal LivesayLast Fall I was browsing the gallery and I cam across a page by one of my fave scrappers, gracielou. It was one of her “Book of Me” pages and I was totally and completely in love with the page and the idea right then and there. For some reason a light went off in my head and I was like “I never scrap myself!”. I have no idea why I didn’t scrap myself, but I just never did. It seemed like lots of people never did. It dawned on me that, you know, I have stories to tell. I have a past and I have dreams of the future. There was a time in my life where I wasn’t defined by the title of “mom” or “wife”. I was just me. Maybe someone would like to hear my stories? Maybe my kids will love knowing about how mom and dad met? There is a plethora of things that made me who I am today. Who is going to tell my family those stories if I don’t? If my kids don’t want to know that kind of stuff, maybe I will have grand kids one day who will! If nothing else, I want to remember these things and get them documented before I don’t remember them anymore. I have made it my goal this year to tell more of my stories, which are equally as important as the first time the kids flew kites, or the new spring dress Stella got. In my journey of self discovery I decided that I would like to help other people to tell their stories as well which is why I decided to make the Book of Me templates. I just don’t want anything to hold anyone back from telling the world more about themselves and it’s an honor to be a part of that process.
I have also found that people like using the templates for all their other memories as well, which is so fun to see! I really created these to be used however one might like to. Just omit the journaling ideas from the “book of me” prompts and put in your own stories! It’s easy peasy! These are really just meant to get you thinking and get you into telling some kind of story, so be creative and use these however you would like!
