Advent calendar

Hi everyone, Lucie here with some (finally Christmas crafting may begin again!) advent calendar inspiration. These are calendars I created for my son in 2016 and 2017. This year’s, is still in process, and will share with you in the next month’s post.

I created both of the calendars in the last moment (on the night of 30th November 😉 ) so I used whatever I found at home and in the garden. Plus I used this set of calendar cards and the word art “joy to the world” comes from here.

So for this first one, I used brown paper bags (there was a little chocolate and a creative task – either a coloring sheet with christmas/winter theme, or a puzzle or an idea of advent activity, in each bag). Folded the bag, punched a hole on the top, added number tag and hanged it on a dry twig. Make sure to hang it properly, as our fell down multiple times.

Fo the second one, I used a metal hoop (bought in a craft store) and some greenery from our garden. Attached it to the hoop using thin metal wire. Glued on some pine cones and the gold star. Then used (this time smaller) white paper bags, which I folded in a shape of little houses, glued the number on and hanged them using thin golden string.  The word art “joy to the world” is printed on vellum paper, cut out along the hoop shape and glued to the back. The “merry everything” word art is from the same kit.

Thanks for reading and see you in a month!
Lucie
