One of my memory keeping goals for 2015 is to get more words on paper. Writing doesn’t come easy for me so to keep this manageable I’m starting with the easy stuff: writing down conversations, things my daughters say, etc. If that’s all I’m able to do this year, I think I’ll be ok with that. And of course, already I’m thinking of how to translate these recordings from blog to photobook.
We have totally been doing this! Our 3-year old is veeeery chatty, and he has little “Ben-isms” that I know will change in a few months. Nick and I have been jotting things down in a note on our phones, and I’ll definitely get them in our PL album. I think this will be such a fun thing for you to look back on in a few years! They change SO fast.
That’s awesome Catherine! I use a moleskine journal to jot down things my girls say. I was diligent about including those quotes in PL 2011 and 2012…and then 2013 I stopped doing it (why??). This is my attempt to establish a new routine for 2015.
That is so cute, she’s adorable! This is something I really want to do more of this year, to add into my project life along with our everyday moments. I have 3 girls and all have a big sense of humor. One time my middle girl said to my youngest, I love you. My youngest looked back at her and said really slow and lovingly…. I love purple. Something we have never forgotten and something I didn’t put in the album 2 years ago.
