Fave work-related moment – the launch of mini masterpieces – a photobook style I designed for Shutterfly.
……….
So far we’ve taken 12,682 photos this year. These are my top faves.
Fave stuffed toys (Madeline’s).
Fave stay in pajamas all day kind of day.
Fave view from the passenger side window.
Fave self portrait ( by Eric).
2012 was a roller coaster ride. Lots of ups and downs and unexpected turns. Lots of trying to keep up, chasing deadlines, prioritizing, re-prioritizing and re-re-prioritizing. Lots of take pause moments. Lots of stepping out of my comfort zone. Lots of trying to figure out how to balance work + motherhood. I’m still trying to digest it all, reflecting before moving forward. I’m also thinking about my one little word for 2013. I didn’t choose one in 2012, but I’m feeling the need for one now. What about you? How was your 2012? What were your favorite moments? And what goals/plans do you have for 2013?
this is one of my fave blog posts in 2012 🙂
Aw, thank you Esther! More photo, less words are my fave types of posts too 🙂
I absolutely loved this post!! I’ve taken thousands of photos this year but have yet to do anything with them. They sit in folders on my laptop. Thanks for pushing my butt into gear–now my plan for the New Year is get my photo books made so my littles have something to look back on.
Your family portrait was darling!! Happy New Year! ~rose
Have fun putting together your photobooks – the putting together part is fun but the best part is when you get that printed book in your hand, flip through the pages and share it with your family. The best feeling! 🙂
I’m prepping my PL album now for the start this week. I was just browsing around online and saw you mention “one little word”, which is a new concept for me. Sounds like a cool thing to incorporate into my book. What’s your 2013 word? (Do you personally choose it to focus yourself (something you want to manifest) or something that you keep seeing in your life as a recurring theme?) Happy New Year!
Yes, it’s definitely something I choose so I can focus on it for the year. There are also definitely recurring/ongoing goals (so much to do, so little time) and sometimes it gets overwhelming, I don’t know what to tackle first and then end up doing nothing at all. The one word, like you said, helps me hone in one thing. My one little word for 2013 is light, I’ll do a short blog post on that soon.
If you want to learn more about one little word I highly recommend checking out Ali Edwards site (link is in the blog post). Are you choosing a word for 2013?
My word for 2013 will be “strength”. I have a lot of areas that I need to strengthen. One of my goals is to run a half marathon. It sounded totally unrealistic in 2012 … but 13.1 in ’13 just sounds cool. lol.
I am also needing to prep my PL tomorrow for 2013. I used your kraft/doily cards in 2012 and just loved them!! 🙂
13.1 in ’13 definitely has a nice ring to it!! And you’ve reminded me, I’ve got to get going on my 2013 PL too, but first, to finish this years. 🙂
you have a FAVE family!!!!!
happy new year!!!
Loved seeing all of your FAVES, Liz!! Can’t wait to see what 2013 brings! All the best to you in the New Year!!
Same to you Lisa 🙂
Enjoyed your fave’s! I’m thinking of “expand” as my “one little word” this year. Didn’t do it in 2012, but I feel I need some more focus this year to reach some goals. I want to take what I started this year and go deeper and wider. Not sure yet if I’m going to do Project Life, but guess I should figure that out soon…
Ooooh, “expand” is a GREAT one, it really speaks to me!
Love this list of faves. I encourage you to jump in with OLW. This will be my third year participating and I find it so worthwhile. Would love to see what you would do with a OLW.
Happy New Year to you!
Thanks so much! Yes indeed, I’m a big fan of OLW. I did choose a word in 2011 “less” and it was an awesome experience – helped me clear away alot of clutter, both physically and mentally. In 2012 I didn’t feel like my journey with LESS was complete so I didn’t choose a new word. This year though, I’m ready for a new word. 🙂
Best wishes to you for a wonderful 2013!
Love the fave list!! I need to do this. I decided to do OLW this year. I’m very excited anout it. Here’s my post:: http://www.table-for-five.com/one-little-word-january/
