guest blogging today at tdd

A few of weeks ago, Steph (at the daily digi) asked if I would be interested in putting together a how-to guide for planning albums. I was honored and of course I said yes.

And then I freaked out a little.

See, I love making albums, but I’m not so good when it comes to explaining how to do it.
I’m a terrible writer and breaking things down into easy to follow bullet points is not my forte. In fact, I think I excel at doing the exact opposite – when I try to explain things I usually end up over thinking it and turning it into a convoluted mess.

And then Audrey (of audacious designs) came to my rescue. She agreed to co-write the post with me. Thanks Audrey, you’re the best.

The post is up at the daily digi today. We hope you find it helpful.

Audrey and I have also been working on a series of blog posts on album planning. We’re hoping to launch it sometime in the next week or so.

Your blog post over at TDD is wonderful Liz … you & Audrey did a fabulous job and I love your analogy of planning / building a house! It's certainly given me the confidence to begin planning my long overdue (almost 17yrs!) wedding album!!! Hugs, sue.falstaff

Thank you Sue. I loved the house analogy too, that was Audrey's brilliant idea. 🙂

Good luck with your wedding album. I've yet to tackle mine which is funny in a way because making a wedding album was the whole reason I decided to try digital scrapbooking.

Keep us updated on your progress please.

That's awesome! I can't wait to read it. I also suck at journaling. That's one thing I need to work on in my albums. Your albums are BEAUTIFUL Liz! :0

Tara, I find it hard to believe that you can suck at anything. 🙂

If you're looking for journaling tips, Audrey has a great series on her blog (it's linked at the TDD post). Also, she just recently featured Moon Ko on her blog. It's a MUST read:
