Adventures Captured: Creative Team Projects using the Postcards Collection

This past weekend, we officially released the Postcards Collection, a travel-inspired scrapbook collection designed to capture every adventure, big or small. To celebrate, our creative team put the collection to work in some truly inspiring ways. Letโ€™s take a look at how each creative team member brought their own style and storytelling approach to the Postcards Collection.

1. Capturing Details with Tags
First up, Kristin shows how powerful a few simple elements can be. She focused on pocket page layouts that put the spotlight on photos while weaving in storytelling details through the journey and destination tags. By repeating these tags across the spread, the design feels intentional and cohesive, while still leaving plenty of space for the images to shine. This simple but impactful approach shows how a few well-chosen elements can capture both the look and the story of your travels without overcrowding the pages.

2. Layouts for Every Journey
Next, Sucali demonstrates just how versatile the Postcards Collection can be. She created 12×12 sized layouts, showing how the collection can handle everything from a tropical vacation to a city staycation. With patterned papers, versatile elements, and a mix of colors that coordinate effortlessly, these layouts make it easy to tell your story, wherever your adventures take you.

3. Balancing Photos + Storytelling
Kari paired a full-page photo on the left with photo strips on the right to showcase more moments from her trip. She also used the backside of the โ€œwe are hereโ€ photo frame insert for her journaling, a clever way to add words without interrupting the visual flow. Small details – like a cut-off tag at the bottom, stamping along the edge, and the subtle โ€œready for adventureโ€ on the large photo – add interest without distraction. The result is a clean, minimal design that keeps the focus on the photos while still weaving in meaningful storytelling.

4. Scenic Photos + Patterns
Kim highlights the beauty of patterned papers while keeping things simple. She paired them with a stunning large-format scenic photo, stamping directly onto the image so it acts as both a title and focal point. On the right, two smaller supporting photos are flanked by carefully placed tags, adding dimension and balance. The result is clean, striking, and full of depth – proof that patterned papers can shine in even the most minimal layouts.

5. Stories in the Pockets
Finally, Leontien shows how pocket pages can be both functional and beautiful. Her 6×8 spread pairs four stunning photos with pocket cards: one for journaling and three patterned designs that serve as backdrops for tags and labels. Stamping directly onto the photos with phrases like โ€œtourist mode ONโ€ and โ€œthis viewโ€ adds a subtle yet impactful touch, blending design and story seamlessly.

From bold full-page photos to carefully curated pocket pages, each designer shows a unique way to tell your story. We hope these projects spark ideas for your own adventures.
