Hi! Kim here and DIY projects are my jam!
Not only does it save me money (most of the time 🙂 but I can make it just the way I want, every.single.time.
Summer is a messy thing around here with 4 boys at home and there is a total necessity for them to help me to get some chores done. Instead of grabbing a fluorescent sticky note for random chicken scratching, the idea of making a personalized, photo to-do list seamed like an idea worth getting behind.
Using Paislee Press new release Pocket Guide No.1 , I added pictures of each kiddo leaving the colored masked sections. Adds a bit of color while making it look professional. Plus, it’s the older boys high school colors! #rollramblers
I could have printed it out myself, but I was headed to the copy store for another project. “25 pages, please.”
I did manage to get 4 ‘notepads’ on each piece of paper. The bigger boys have their own and the little boys get smaller ones like their attention spans 🙂 Dimensions are 3.5″ x 8.5″ and 3.5″ x 4.375″, respectably.
Adding the saying and the heart was my way to letting them know that I really do appreciate them helping me clean up their stuff! Always!
After cutting the stack of paper in to sections, I also cut a corresponding chipboard piece to back it with.
It’s time to glue them together on the top end! Using binder clips and scrap pieces of chipboard to protect the paper, they held each pad together while gluing.
Elmers glue works like a champ. I used the clear school kind, because it is not quite as runny as the white version. Just to make sure they were good and stuck I did three coats, drying in between and using another binder clip on the end after I smoothed the glue to dry.
I guess we can work on tomorrow’s list now!
Much Love
XOXOXOXO,
-Kim
