Sometimes we just need flowers. This mini book is my bouquet of flowers. I used the Bloom kit, along with vellum, old Polish book pages, botanical images found from the British Library, and beautiful words that I typed out using my fave typewriter typeface (Splendid66).
“and you will keep me safe and you will keep me close and rain will make the flowers grow” – Les Miserables.
“like a wildflower, she spent her days, allowing herself to grow, not many know of her struggle, but eventually all, knew of her light” – Nikki Rowe.
I hand sewed the mini to bind it with gold thread. I kept it messy looking and I quite like that.
“So plant your own gardens and decorate your own soul, instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.” – Jorge Luis Borges
I haven’t decided if I’m going to add photos or journaling to this. What would you do?
I’m not a fan of the heat, but I’m completely excited for spring if only for the spring buds. Maybe you could tell with this floral mini. In Germany it’s almost here, I can feel it. Have a lovely March, whatever weather you’re getting.
