Happy 2016 everyone! It’s Carly here today to share a little peek into my 2016 Project Life album. This year I decided I would continue on with my 12×12 album size and not change much up from how I documented last year. I really feel like I’m in a good groove with my memory keeping projects, so for me to change things up now probably wouldn’t be a good idea.
Last year I started each month with a “currently” journalling card to document what my month looked like in one snapshot. I loved looking back on these cards in last year’s album so much that this year I decided to do them again. These snapshots are especially great if I have a month where I don’t do a lot of journalling or storytelling, they at least give me a glimpse at all the little things I was up to that month.
Something else I focused on doing last year, and will continue doing this year, is capturing photos of the little things around me like my new watch, or projects I’m working. Those little detailed photos have a great way of telling a much bigger story when put all together with others in my album. They become those special bits and pieces that make our story uniquely ours.
Last, but not least, I’m continuing to add special quotes and little words of inspiration throughout my Project Life album this year. Now I’m not saying I won’t ever change things up in my document, but for me right now I have found a system that seems to be working and more importantly, it’s enjoyable and easy for me to keep up with!
What are your documenting plans for 2016? I always love to hear how others are documenting their story so please leave us a comment below and like always, if you have any questions at all for me please don’t hesitate to ask.

I love how you manage to capture so many little moments in just one spread! I am not changing much about my memory keeping from last year either, but one thing I want to do is include more little moments + journalling. Which font do you use for your journalling?
