I caved and got this sit/stand desk. It’s definitely a huge splurge. I hesitated for a long time on this one but I’m so glad I finally got it. I like being able to alternate between sitting and standing when I’m working on the computer and so far I’ve been pretty good about standing more – I get antsy when I sit for more than an hour at a time. I also prefer to stand when I’m working on craft projects. Another awesome, if not unexpected, perk? When brought down to its lowest setting (22″), the tabletop is the perfect height for taking product shots. (Hooray, I no longer have to stand on a chair to get those overview shots!)
I do miss the convenience of having desk drawers and I’ve got to figure out a way to conceal the unsightly cords. What’s your current workspace setup and how do you deal with the cords?
The Bekant is beautiful! And SO much cheaper in Germany. Cable ties work wonders for cord management.
Oh Caylee, you’re so lucky!! Let me know if you end up getting it…you won’t regret it. 🙂 Thanks for the cable ties suggestion! That just might do the trick. I have to figure out how to coral it all but still leave enough give so it can extend and detract when the table top moves.
Where did the chair come from? I just got an office with hardwood floors and I can’t wait to get a new chair!
How exciting, congrats on the new hardwood floors! I got the chair at Relax The Back.
Love how light your office is. You could have a free standing pedestal underneath to use as drawers
a-ha! so excited to see this. I was yesterday trying to figure out what I had laying around that I could put under my work desk to make it taller so I could stand & work. I’m going to put this on my craft room overhaul wishlist 🙂
