Hello lovelies!
So what do you do when you have a voucher for eight Moleskine photobooks expiring two days later? I’ll tell you what I did for one eighth of that – I found my all time favourite template, and put together an entire year in 200 pages in a few hours.
I chose my most recent favourite font, opened Photoshop up to a document with the same size as the photobook (8×8″), and made simple headings.
I copy and pasted the journaling about the year that I had my husband do in anticipation of the book at the end of the year (yay, Evernote!).
And then I stayed with the same format as last year with a top ten.
For each top ten item, I assigned it four pages next to each other. One for the title, one for the templated photo, the next for another photo, and then I left a blank page for journaling. The templates resized perfectly to this large size.
Since I was in a rush, instead of typing it out I would hand write directly onto the book, which is another one of my recent favourite things to do. It also gave a lot of breathing room. Although I’m not quite there on the journaling yet.
After they were done I made space for the moments that didn’t get a top ten spot of their own. Loads of white space for this magical journaling that I’ll be doing.
And a full page for the ending. And that’s how I made a photobook of my entire year in a day.
Wish me luck for the journaling!

This is beautiful! What font did you use for the titles?
Hey Jacqueline. I used Smoothy – https://creativemarket.com/ianbarnard/166172-Smoothy-Cursive-Script-Sans It’s premium, but I love it.
Your book is just fabulous Caylee – Congrats on getting it done so quickly & beautifully!
Caylee, I absolutely love this! We are planning a trip later this month and I intend to make an album via Artifact Uprising. When I saw this post from you today, I was so visually inspired! Thank you for sharing!
