I’ve recently started going through the really old photos of my husband and I to tell our story before we got married. Now this is a crazy undertaking, but it doesn’t mean that it has to be stressful. In fact, for this layout I used photos and paper. That’s it. No frills.
I kept the photos at 6×4″ and cut the digital paper down to 3×4″ to fit into the pockets. It took me a grand total of five minutes. I kept my paper choices to the Quintessentials to keep those minutes even lower. Project Life can be as simple as you’d like. My quick tips for keeping it simple:
- choose simple backgrounds
- use photos from a set that go well together
- if the photos don’t look great together, make them black and white
- get some colour from the photos in the backgrounds you choose (the red was overwhelming in these images and so I didn’t choose that. Additionally, red is my worst)
- if your photos are black and white, choose some nice colours in your papers
- get a colour scheme with your papers (mine was nice and easy)
- when in doubt, black and white it
The fanciest part of this was that I cut the description into a circle and stapled it down. Yay for keeping things simple!
