Hi everyone! It’s Carly here today sharing a peek into a little album I created for a recent trip we took. For the first time as a family we went to Disneyland the week before Halloween and I wanted to make a special album just for our trip.
I had tons of photos and journalling I wanted to share, but I also had a lot of memorabilia such as our room keys, tickets, character autographs, wristbands, etc. I also wanted this album to be more colourful than what I normally create just because it was such an amazing experience for our family and I thought it deserved something a little more special to celebrate it.
In the front of the book I used some gorgeous gold vellum from the new On My Desk line at Gossamer Blue to make a pocket for holding both of our guide maps. I also added the Happy Memories die cut because it fit so perfectly with the purpose of this entire album.
The first page in the book holds our Disneyland welcome package and our four family passes to the parks. The girls were so excited when they received their very own personalized tickets. To say Disneyland is “magical” is so true – it really is the “happiest place on earth” when you are 7 years old.
I used the black and white small checkered side of the Daydreamer paper as my background and love how the tickets just pop on the page. On the other page the top picture is of my girls on the plane on route to Disney and just below I used the yellow side of the Maker paper and the little crown with the “make magic” Puffy Stickers which pretty much says it all!The next page I included our hotel room keys which were amazing because they customized each key with everyone’s name. I ended up just using the backside of the Maker paper because the colourful hearts couldn’t make a better fit.
There are so many pages to this book, but one of my most favourite is this next one. The page has a picture of the girls in Carsland which hands-down was our most favourite attraction and the picture of the teacup ride in the top corner was one of the first rides we went on when we arrived at the park. The pretty Multitasker paper and Fave Puffy Sticker sum up this page perfectly.
Taking our girls to Disneyland was such an amazing experience and I was so thrilled with how perfectly the On My Desk line just seemed to have all the right papers and embellishments that helped make this album that much more special. Love it when it comes together like that!
Have an amazing day!
