The month of May passed by in a blur. A good chunk of that time was spent working on my daughters’ school yearbook – three weeks of living and breathing yearbook-related tasks. There were many late nights spent sifting through photos, building layouts, corresponding with fellow committee members and sending out last minute pleas requests for photos. I let out the biggest sigh of relief when the book was finalized and ordered.
The biggest challenge for me was trying to maintain a clean and simple look while trying to fit in as many photos as possible. As much as I love a full photo spread of something scenic with lots of white space, I couldn’t justify taking up prime real estate in the book just for the sake of aesthetics. As a parent you want to see as many photos of your child as possible right?
I’ve got two new products for the June BYOC (build your own collab) at The LilyPad and (surprise, surprise) they are both somewhat “school” related.
The first is a set of TIMELINE layered templates. Use it to highlight memorable moments from your child’s school year, or to document milestones from your baby’s first year. Or use it to record the hours of “getting ready” leading up to your Wedding. The possibilies are endless.
I used it to put together a quick timeline highlighting memorable moments from my daughters’ school year.
Second is a set of wordart phrase clippings and 3×4 journal cards. These are great for project life, hybrid projects (think art journaling!) and digital layouts too.
Both products are 20% thru June 8, 2014! There’s also an exclusive presslist offer – purchase both this weekend and enjoy a savings of 45% OFF. Full promotion details are in the newsletter that was sent out yesterday. Not yet a subscriber? Sign up HERE.
Love, love, love Liz!!! As usual, AH-MAZING!! And now that we are finally (almost!) completely settled in to our new home in Ohio, I can sit down and start working on our albums! Heading over to purchase this later tonight. Gotta go sift through my email for your newsletter!!!
Warmly,
Elizabeth
