Hi everyone, Carly here with a small project life share. This year my approach to project life hasn’t changed that much. I’m still documenting what I can over a month and not stressing about how much I am able to capture. For me, documenting our family’s story needs to be easy and stressfree.
The one small change that I have made to my documenting this year is to take my photos with more purpose. Last year I just took snaps here and there with really not a lot of thought behind what I was photography. I still love how the book turned out, but wanted this year to have a little more thought and intent behind what I was photographing. So this year I’ve decided to take at least one photo a day of something I am grateful for. Maybe it’s something small like my morning coffee, or maybe it’s something really big like my daughters smiles.
Having this new focus and intent behind my picture taking has really made me love doing project life again this year and has given my documenting a great new purpose. It’s made the entire documenting process good for the soul!
I think the big thing to remember when it comes to documenting is that there is no right or wrong way to do it. You just have to find a way that works best for you and that is easy to stick to. For me, it was changing the reason why I pick something to photography that has made me excited to be doing project life again this year and I just know that at the end of the year this book will be such a great keepsake to look back on.
Have you made any changes to how you are approaching project life this year or perhaps this is your first year? If so, let us know how you are approaching it!

Carly! Your photographs are absolutely beautiful! I love this concept of being more intentional with the photos we take rather than just snapping away at random. Thanks for sharing 🙂
Thank you so much Catherine for your kind words! Happy PL documenting!
Beautiful pages:)
Thank you!
This is beautiful Carly! To be honest, I’m still figuring out my approach this year, and these pages of yours have been very inspiring.

Thank you so much Ronnie! You are one of my biggest PL inspirations!! Thank you for your lovely comment, as it just brightened my day!!
What a lovely post to read. Love that you’re taking photos with intent now. I’ve been trying to be intentional about my PL-ing but the photos have fallen to the side now that I’ve started working. You’ve inspired me to take some time this weekend to think about how I can be intentional about photos. And your pages are beautiful as always.
You are always so sweet Caylee!! Thank you! xo
This is so Beautiful Carly !!
