I spent this morning revising the 2012 Calendar Kit based on your emails and comments. Here’s a summary of the changes that were made:
1. The actual months (ie., JAN – DEC) were added to the layered templates so you now have the option to use either the alpha or numbers for the months.
2. The month stamps are now available as individual PNG files.
Here’s what the set looks like with the (JAN-DEC) option:
The original (1-12) set is still included:
Two different clipping mask options are still available in the 5×7 size:
The customizable cover + gift tags are the same:
And now the months are available as individual png files:
All versions of the 2012 Calendar Kit have been updated with these changes.
For those of you that already purchased the kit (thank you!), you will be able to access the new files simply by going back to the download links provided in the sales invoice that was emailed to you. Please go ahead and delete the first set you downloaded and replace it with the updated files. If you have having troubles locating your invoice or accessing the new files, please shoot me an email.
Your Questions Answered
1. Where can I get the cardboard box you have in your preview?
I purchased these boxes in bulk from www.papermart.com. They are the Natural Kraft Jewelry boxes. The CD/DVD box fits the 4×6 calendars and the GIFT box will fit the 5×7 calendars. I don’t at the moment know where to get the boxes in smaller quantities. I’ll look around to see if anyone sells them individually and will post a link if I find something.
2. How would you display these calendars?
I love how Tara displayed her 2010 calendar. Details about her project can be found here.
You can try mounting the entire set on the wall, unframed, using 3M poster tape adhesive. More details on how to get the best results can be found in THIS POST.
They can also be displayed individually on the desk or bound or coiled. I’ve never bound a calendar set myself so I’ll have to look into this more before I can give you more details on how best to do this. Anyone have experience with this and are willing to share with us?
3. Suggestions on where I should get these printed?
I’ve gotten them printed at WHCC and at costco and have been happy with the results. Since the sizes are standard photo sizes, you can upload it to most photo printing vendor.
4. When will the poster size calendars be available?
By the end of next week, thanks for your interest!
A big thanks to those of you that took the time to email me. If you have additional questions, please post in the comments section below or email me. Either way, I’ll do my best to answer them.
I’m sooo excited to see that you have this available in a professional use license! I’ve been looking for a pro use calendar that I can use to create calendars with my photography that I sell on etsy. I’ve loved the idea, but just don’t have the time or patience to try to create my own calendar format to use with my photos, so this is wonderful! Thanks so much for such a great product. I’ll be adding it to my cart soon!
These are so lovely Liz! I make calendars every year, but they are not nearly as beautiful as yours are. You have not only made my gift giving easier, but also reminded me to get them done early this year! I’m off to buy them now…
You did a great job,as always! I want to buy the calendar as newsletter subscriber, but unfortunately i still didn’t receive the newsletter e-mail. I would like to start my calendar project as soon as possible when i see so nice and creative ideas! 😉 Tanks!
Thanks Eva, Not sure why you haven’t received it yet? I’ll forward a copy to you.
I tried to send but got an error message. Is your inbox full? Or maybe I got the wrong email. Can you send me your email addy?
I’ve noticed now that my e-mail was written wrong! This one should be correct. eva.solar@post.t-com.hr

Your calendar looks AWESOME!!
I have one smalle question though.. Does it come in a EU friendly versions, where Monday is listed as the first day of the week?
Yes. Here’s the link: http://www.oscraps.com/shop/product.php?productid=28668
YAY!! Now I only need to learn to shoot as amazing photos as you do.. 😀
Try the A7 Mailers from Paper Source as a box option for the 5×7 calendars. I used them last year and it was a really nice presentation – lots of fun colors.

Thanks, Liz!
Can’t wait to start creating:) I am planning on giving a few as gifts this year. I love the idea of taping them to the wall, so cute.
Liz,
Thank you so much for the updates, off to buy my calendar kit 🙂
Tara
Oh wow those boxes would be perfect! But where to stash 100 of them in my little condo? 🙂 I gift my calendars with little plastic stand-up 5×7 frames from Walmart, I think they’re only $2 each or so. You can see how I have it on my desk here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/trudem/6080379865/in/set-72157627518446866 And at the end of the year, my mom and I both will trim off the top photo part and put them on the fridge or on bulletin boards.
I love Trude’s photo stand from walmart… going to look for that.
Also it is so cool that you revised the kit after getting input. I love that! I liked the kit before now it is even better. I’m off to go buy it since I wasn’t the lucky winner. Thanks so much Liz
I was wondering if on the poster size kit, will you be able to add a drop shadow around each month so that it can look like it’s matted like the one person did in their calendar that you show above? (I hope that makes sense)
The poster kit will be the 2012 version of the one I released last year, no drop shadows options: http://www.oscraps.com/shop/product.php?productid=26122
Thanks!
Hi,
I am new to this site and before I purchase want to make sure I understand. Can I use this in Photoshop Elements 8…do you have any suggestions or sites where I can watch a tutorial of how it works??
I’m Keeping my fingers crossed because I LOVE this idea!!!!!
Sara
Hi Sara!
Yes, the templates are compatible with photoshop elements. I have a photoshop tutorial that walks you through how to use clipping masks and insert photos (the basics of what you need to know in order to create a custom calendar using the template). The tutorial can be found here:
http://paisleepress.com/2009/01/layered-templates-101/
I really love this template and am making one now. I was hoping you could help with some hints to printing out the 5×7 text portion on paper. I am struggling with getting it to print on a piece of 5×7 piece of paper. It is not centered for some reason. I plan to adhere the photos separately. I had a similar problem when having them printed as 5×7 at Costco.
Thank you so much!
Hi Shana,
The text is not supposed to be centered, I designed it so that the dates and the month blocks are evenly distributed (there is a little breathing room/white space in between), hope that makes sense.
Thank you so much, Liz. I am sorry, I was unclear. The month text on the right side is actually cut off rather than having the expected space from the right side trim. Hopefully, that makes more sense.
Hi, Liz! These calendars are beautiful! I’m going to use them to make calendars for the grandparents. My only suggestion for next year maybe is please consider making them horizontal also. I wanted to be able to put the calendar in one of those standing jewel cases. I was able to find them on-line, but they only have them for horizontal pictures. I would love to be able to use something like this for my calendar: http://www.calendar-case.com/4-by-6-photo-calendar-cases.php
Thanks for all of your awesome ideas!
