This is the week of June 12th. There was a graduation, a school musical performance at Audrey’s school, and the weekend that Eric went out of town, busy and hectic, but in a good way.
LEFT SIDE. Do you know one thing I’m really loving about project life? I’m actually printing photos taken from my camera phone. I never printed those before. The one on the top left corner is a camera phone photo. I took it in the car (not while I was driving of course). It’s not the best quality but I love it because it’s a snapshot of a daily routine, Maddie and I picking up Audrey from school. I look forward to the chatter during our car ride home. “Do you know? [insert new thing Audrey learned at school that day].” and how Maddie always shouts “wee yo” (wheel) everytime we drive by the car dealership. Little things like this I want to remember.
JOURNALING: Things the girls are doing at the moment.
CLOSE-UP OF 4X6 POCKET: Eric’s father’s day gift – I slipped in the card that came in the box. (Love apple’s packaging, so simple and clean.) I didn’t like how the back of the photo from the other side was showing through so I printed a piece of patterned paper from my Huntington Kit (will be available in my shop in August!). The tab reads early father’s day gift.
Had a two big events this week (graduation and a school performance) so I added an insert for the programs and an american crafts 6×12 page protector for extra photos.
CLOSE-UP OF PROGRAM INSERT: I sewed both programs on a piece of kraft cardstock. This is the front.
The back. I ended up sewing the 2nd program on the inside flap so that the stitching wouldn’t show through the front side. Yes, I really am that anal, but you knew that about me already right? The label has messages on both sides. The back one says so very proud of you, a message to audrey regarding her performance on saturday night.
6X12 INSERT: Again, I love Project Life! All of the photos from the graduation were taken with my camera phone because I brought my DSLR, but the battery was at home. Also included a thank you note we got from Audrey’s teachers.
RIGHT SIDE including the back side of the 6×12. All photos taken at Audrey’s school performance.
SELF PORTRAIT (new favorite shoes!)
CLOSE UP OF JOURNALING
That’s it for the week of June 12th. Having so much fun with this project. I love the entire process. Going through the photos for the week, sitting down to reflect on what happened and then putting all the pieces together.
All photos from this week processed using Totally Rad Actions.
I love how you sewed the programs onto kraft cardstock! The little extra touches like the white doily are awesome. It’s awesome how you put journaling on the photos before they are printed. Very inspirational Liz! I’m always amazed how much great ideas I get for my own album when I look at how other people do Project Life!
Oh Liz! This is so precious! I love what you’re doing!!!
I’m loving your project life 🙂 Inspiring me to start making sure I print my photos…when I get home from holidays 🙂 !
you’re my favorite digital scrapper, but i have to say that i’m loving your paper work – this is the most amazing take on project life ever!!!
Oh, I really love all the things you do! I wish I had just a tiny bit of your energy and passion. You are so talented!
Do you have any idea how I can get some of the things of project life sent to me to Sweden? Amazon.com don’t want to send it to me, and the uk version of amazon don’t have all the things I want. 🙁
Hi Karin,
Have you checked on Becky Higgin’s site? I know project life was recently made available for Europeans but that’s all that I know.
LIz we see your journaling typed onto the cards, are you printing these out as hybrids from your computer or something else…. thanks you for sharing these and inspiring us. I am learning to love my some what less than perfect iphone camera
Hi Philippa,
I type my journaling in photoshop and then print them out. 🙂 I heard the iphone camera is awesome. When it’s time to get a new phone I’m seriously considering switching to an iphone mainly because of the camera.
thanks for that bit of info Liz, my handwriting is terrible….. the iphone 4 yes i have the 3 and it is soso no flash and can be bit dark… but better than nothing for those times i don’t have my dslr
Ha, that’s how I feel about my handwriting too. Writing on paper is so different from writing/designing on a tablet – don’t have to the option to keep re-doing until it looks just right.
I did try to do some of the journaling on the cards but ended up replacing them with the printed ones because I just didn’t like the way my handwriting looked with the photos. I think it looks SO awesome when other people do it, I love the handwritten look!
My camera phone photos turn out dark, thank goodness for photoshop actions!
Looks great! PL really is the best 🙂
I just got the RadLab… omg! love it
I’m curious to find out what blog platform you have been utilizing? I’m experiencing some minor security problems with my latest blog and I would like to find something more risk-free. Do you have any suggestions?
