I’m so thrilled to share this entire kit, Curated, and all the details with you! This collaboration has truly been a labor of love. Danielle and I have been living and breathing this project for the past few months. (ask Danielle to tell you about the hours and hours we’ve spent e-mailing back and forth, and not to mention the hours and hours we’ve put into perfecting it!) We call it “work” but it has really been a whole lotta fun.
As Danielle had mentioned earlier this week, this project started as an identical idea that we both had. It was an idea that was on both of our to do lists – on mine for well over 6 months, and on Danielle’s for more than TWO years! We figured if we took this project on together, and held each other accountable, we might actually get it done before our children graduate from high school.
The entire collaboration process has just been the most incredible and surreal experience, and an experience like non other. You’ve all heard me shamelessly talk about my designer crush for Danielle. After working with her, and getting to know first hand how her creative mind works, I think it’s safe to say that I am officially smitten…forever.

Details about this kit:
- 10 – 12″x12″ unique Quick Page layouts in PNG format (5 designed in the “minimalist” style and 5 designed in the “kitschy” style. Combine them for a wonderfully eclectic and beautiful mix!)
- 10 – Mask PSD files that coordinate with your Quick Pages to allow for easy and fast photo cropping
- 10 – 12″x12″ Layered Template PSD (and TIFF) files filled with design prompts (see preview below). These help you in “filling out” your album to coordinate with the Quick Page layouts.
- All files are created at 300 dpi, for highest print quality. If you are creating an album, just upload your files to your favorite online book publisher. These are in a square format so they will work with the standard 12″x12″, 10″x10″ and 8″x8″ photo books.

Hi – I love this collab… My question is about your choice for printing the album. I saw your album the other day in the Blurb bookstore, so I was surprised when you provided the Shutterfly link on your blog. I can see that you would want to get exposure everywhere, but which one will you choose to print at? I ask because I have two books to do that I want to be super special. One is a wedding and the other a family heritage book. I can't decide which site to prep my pages for. I've only seen the Blurb soft cover in person and at Shutterfly I didn't care for the glossy hardcover I experimented with in 8×8 size. (I had done a cover paper that looked like fabric which the glossy surface detracted from.) I would love your opinion. Thanks so much. llschoelles@yahoo.com (I tried to email you directly, but couldn't get the direct email link thing to work – so I hope you see my questions here.)
Thanks Ella, Melissa and CraftyCat!
Shaui – lol! I got lucky with that shot. 🙂
Lori – I ended up ordering with shutterfly. My original plan was to get it through blurb, but then shutterfly had a 30% OFF sale + free shipping, so I chose shutterfly because of the price. I'm not as concerned over a glossy or matte cover, so that made the decision easy. The image wrap book I ordered from Blurb a few months ago had a nice matte cover. If the finish for the cover is a big deciding factor, Blurb is probably the better choice for you.
Liz,
I have been looking at this collection for some time now and LOVE it. However, I haven't purchased it because I'm not sure if the quick pages or the layered templates are better for me, or what the difference is between the two formats. I tend to think that with a QP everything is locked down and all I get to do is add my photos, but with a layered template I get more flexibility to add my own papers, etc. Is this right? Are your layered files the same layouts as your quick pages? This is probably a basic question, but I've been scrap booking for about a year now, which means I've had enough time to learn a few things, which has only lead to LOTS more questions. 🙂 Thanks!
