Finally, it’s Monday! I never thought those words would come out of my mouth but there it is, I said it. I’ve been waiting all weekend to debut a new collaboration project and Monday just couldn’t come around fast enough.
I’m super excited because I got to work with one of my dearest friends, Jan of the Queen of Quirk. She also happens to be my design hero. She has this way of mixing colors + patterns that I can only describe as fearless, unconventional and completely genius! After being online friends, chatting via instant message and over the phone for years, we finally got to meet each other in person in, of all places…Paris!!!
Jan w/her adorable girls + me, circa 2006The entire project – the “you are here” theme and the color scheme was all dreamed up by Jan – I just followed her lead and prayed real hard that my part of the collab would come close to matching her genius. I loved working with Jan and loved the way the kit turned out. I hope you do too.

Most of my life is pretty routine, but occasionally something will take place that I call, "making a memory time". Right now we are finishing our basement which will include a dedicated craft room for me and a home theater for my hubby [and me =)]. This is definitely "making a memory time" for us. We will one day look back on all the petty disagreements about what color paint, what kind of carpet, tile, etc. I'm loving this time in our lives – even with the disagreements.

Can I say that I love everything right now? I have been happily married for 5 years, we have a lovely 3yo boy and a 1yo girl, we live on a farm and I get to be a stay at home mum. I get to do a bit of sewing and crafty stuff every now and then. What is not to love.
I'm loving life now more than ever. I have my beautiful toddler and baby, my husband, and extended family. We have so many things to be thankful for and are enjoying every moment of summer.
The thing that I'm loving in my life right now is spending time with my kids and not having to worry about waking up at a certain time or to get them ready for school. Just takin it easy. 🙂

What I like about my life right now is finaly moving forward after all these months!
We just got home from a funeral for a 53 year old man who died of a very sudden heart attack. Tonight, I'm loving that I HAVE life. And so thankful for my healthy family.
I'm blessed to be married to a fantastic man whom I probably don't deserve…I'm blessed to have 2 wonderful boys whom I love with all of my being…I'm blessed for the 3 grandchildren my sons have given me…

Something that I am loving about my life right now is being a stay at home mom and enjoying the summer days with my son. We go swimming, go to morning movies, afternoon baseball games, the library. I love this time.

I am LOVING that my boys are going to summer school but there is NO HOMEWORK for mom to check, and we get to spend our afternoons and evenings enjoying the summer, enjoying life!

Honestly – I can't say that I'm loving too much about my life at the moment. I'm in grad school, I still work full time, we are trying to adopt and the birth mother just changed her mind and wants to keep the baby…
Yeah, I'm a stress ball of not very happy at the moment. BUT… I do have a good life just the same and I love my husband dearly and when all the stress falls away – I'll see that more clearly.
