Happy New Year! I’m kicking off 2017 with a new set of 4×6 Photo Templates. This set is largely inspired by ideas that came to me as I worked on my personal December Daily album. I enjoyed making these so much and I hope you’ll consider adding it to your own pocket scrapbooking repetoire. This set is 20% OFF thru the weekend.
I’m of the belief that the littlest, most subtle details can take a simple design from “that works” to “that’s perfect“.
A simple thin line down the middle helps to define two spaces on the 4×6 card. Simply slip the card in a 4×6 slot or use the line as a cut guide to trim the photos down to two 3×4 cards. In the pocket example below you can see how the line on the 4×6 insert mimics the line of a 3×4 pocket and helps to balance the symmetry of the page.
I used these templates recently in my December Daily Album. Originally, I created these thinking I would slip them all in a pocket page with four 3×4 configurations. Then I realized that the pockets that these cards would go into were two 4×6 cards. By adding the lines, I was able to preserve the original design I had in mind.
Another template in this set that I will be using often is this one (template no. 4):
It combines three design elements – Photo, Date and Journaling – into one card. By doing this I was able to free up two pocket spaces to include more photos and/or separate stories. Totally a space saver and, it forces me to include more journaling.
There is clearly a template favorite amongst the creative team. Template No. 2 which features a big date and a polaroid style photo spot.
Adelina used the templates to start her coffee album. As a fellow coffee enthusiast, I am madly madly in love with this idea documenting something you love. And all of the gorgeous coffee shop scenes? Swoon.
Elizabeth used Template No. 4 to create a set of custom postcards.
This is such a great way to showcase and share her stunning photos! She wrapped up the set with care. I wonder who the lucky recipient is?
More creative team projects featuring 4×6 Photo Templates Vol. 6 will be shared here on January 19th.
Happy Weekending!
