Marcy Penner | Using Paislee Press printables in a Travelers Notebook

Hi everyone!  Marcy here with you today to share with you a couple of ways I love using digital journaling cards in my travelers notebook.

Use #1: NOTEBOOK COVER

The Paislee Press journaling cards and digital elements make awesome notebook covers! For this particular cover I decided to use the “For Like Ever” journaling card.  To adapt it for my notebook cover I opened up a new canvas in Photoshop that was sized for my notebook when it’s open (8.5×8.25).  From there it’s just a matter of dragging my journaling card onto the right portion of that canvas.

I usually print my covers out on white or kraft colored cardstock.

If I were attaching this cover to my notebook I would staple my pages to it and then fold and trim.

BUT here’s a secret….

I’ve never finished a notebook in my entire life.  Never.

I start them and then get bored and make a new one.  It’s a problem, I’ll admit it!

Because of this and the ever-rotating notebooks I trim my cover page to size, fold in half and leave it.

This let’s me rearrange it whenever I want and with whichever notebook I feel like at the time.

Perfect.

Use #2: JOURNALING PROMPTS

Another way I use the journaling cards in my notebook is by using them as journaling prompts.

Typically I’ll attach a journaling card on one page, with a little embellishing if necessary, and then add photos and words on the other.

It’s a really simple way to bring new topics and interest into my journal.

How about you?  How are you incorporating your digital elements into your notebooks?

I love this. I’ve been thinking about different ways to use my digi supplies in a bullet journal, so this was perfect inspiration. 🙂 I love that you use them as prompts.
