Anniversaries are special and they deserve to be documented. Especially when you are surprised with a mini getaway by your husband. I wish I took more photos but I did have a lot to journal. So here’s the thing: I loathe writing on paper that’s not made by Moleskine. Because of the journaling I wanted to do, I had two options – use my Moleskine printing paper, or put everything into a cahier. I chose the latter and I loved it.

I kept it simple. I wrote in print instead of cursive since my husband has to really concentrate to read the cursive. I stuck pages together so that it didn’t seep through, which had the added bonus of being able to finish this book. I had small photos. I had the Curated: Minimalist Collection as inspiration with its gorgeous doilies, and white space, and hot pink washi tape.

I already miss the place.
