Hi there, it’s Carly here with today’s share. Leading up to the holidays is always such a busy time of the year, but from Thanksgiving to Christmas I always feel most like scrapbooking. Maybe because there is so much going on that I want to capture, or maybe because I always feel most thankful during this time of year, needless to say I have lots of projects on the go and today I’ll share a peek into two of them.

Awhile back I mentioned that I moved my Letters to book from Smash books to an 8.5×11 binder and I’m loving it. I love that I have the flexibility to change the order of my pages and can insert new pages into any location within the book. Many of my pages are designed on a 8.5×11 page size, but lately I’ve started to create more double page spreads like this one. I love that you can create more of a story over to pages and incorporate so much more white space…and I love white space!

For my photo page I used the Bulletin Board and Stargazer papers from the new On My Desk line at Gossamer Blue and for my opposite page I kept things really simple using the word art Love is… from the Love is layered template and the word “everything” from the Word Art: love + other sentiments kit, which by the way is one of my all-time favourite word art kits ever!

The other project I’m currently working on is prepping my December album. This will be my first year of doing an album for December and I think the idea of creating all your foundation pages prior to the start of the month is genius! I’m using both the December you are my fave no.2 and no. 3 kits and shared all the foundation pages I’ve already created in this post.

paislee_carly112014_IMG_9854This week my girls created their Christmas wish lists and went to visit Santa for their photos. Even though this happened in November I have to include it into my December album so I added the Santa photo and wrote out their wishes on two journal cards. I also added two addition journal cards from the Press Cards No.29 kit to finish out the page.

So far I’m feeling pretty good about my album start and hope that I’m able to keep it up and finish it by the New Year…or shortly after. How about you, are you doing a December album this year too?

I always adore the beautiful simplicity of your projects. I’ve settled on a photobook for December so hoping to keep up by keeping it simple.

Thank you so much Donna! Your December album will be beautiful! All the best, Carly xo
