caylee’s project life | week 15

Hey everyone. It’s Caylee.

You know those triangles that are making an appearance on almost every Project Lifer’s pages ? Yeah, I totally joined the trend. I don’t have a sewing machine and I don’t have the patience to hand sew, but what I do have is a pair of scissors and the ability to cut triangles both in Photoshop and real life.

That week, nothing happened that was as awesome as getting our new little fur baby. With our little Griffin our marriage became a little family. It was a Big Deal, and I wanted this week to reflect that. Enter the 12×12 photo…

A collage of selfies with Griffin, and some pretty paper. I also recently shared an actual collage using a paislee press template here (with more Griffin cuteness).

The triangles were really easy. I mean, I just cut up some paper (it’s all in one kit so yay, they all match) and cut up a set of similar photos. Done. So far they have stayed in the file sans stitching just as well as the usual rectangles do.

Since my journaling attempts are meager, I’ve started a new approach to my week in review cards. I’m sorting them less by days and more by memories. I like it. I guess Project Life will always be about making it work for you, and since we all change often enough, it makes sense that our approach does too.

I love how easy this week was to put together. It’s voting day tomorrow in South Africa so it will certainly be one for the memory album. Have a fantastic May.

I absolutely love this Caylee! I am so wanting to bust out and try a 12×12 photo, to either cut up or lay out not sure, but I absolutely love your share today!

12x12s are such an easy way to make a statement, and by far my favourite. xxx

It’s gorgeous. I’m so in love with that kit’s colours… using them at the moment. Your new baby is adorable and that photo is precious:)

Love those colours too. Luckily my pooch is white and pretty much goes with anything 😉

Lovely layout, Caylee, as always 🙂 The color combination is beautiful and love how you used the triangles.

Thanks Sabine. The colour combo is all paislee press. Yay for kits.

Absolutelty in love with this pages… The big photo is amazing

Thanks Marta. I get so happy when you like something I’ve made – it’s such an honour coming from you.

Love the contrast of the big 12×12 and smaller triangles. Amazing job, Caylee!

Thank you ♥♥♥

Love this. I always glue my triangles onto another piece of paper. This way they never slide around.

I was going to do that once I had done the next week but I actually ended up hand sewing the pages because I wanted to add sequins.

This is so very beautiful, Caylee!

Thank you, Ronnie.

[…] week 15 was the one I chose to share on the paislee press blog for this month. After doing week 16 I updated my 15 because of the hand-stitching. I also swapped […]
