Hi there! It’s Carly here today to share a different approach to doing project life when life gets busy. Back in March we sold our home and had to pack up and move to a new town within a matter of weeks. We then needed to wait for our new house to be ready, then of course unpack and settling in followed, so needless to say life was pretty busy!
Picking up my camera during this crazy time was the last thing on my mind, but I still wanted to document what I could so here’s what I did. I decided to add a 8.5 x 11 insert into my project life book. On one side I used the press plate no.39 for the few pictures I was able to take with captions and on the other side I picked 3 photos that really highlighted each month and journaled what happened beside them.
Even though I didn’t get tons of photos to document these past 3 months I feel that what I was able to capture was more than enough and the journaling really tells the full story. On the 3 month highlights page I used the pictures + words no. 10 to photo overlay the months on each picture. Here’s a closer peek at both pages.
The great thing about memory keeping is that there is no right or wrong way to do it and as life circumstances change, you can just change the way you document to make it work for you. I have a feeling that with the busy summer break coming up I might use this monthly highlights approach again.
Hope everyone is having an amazing day and thank you so much for following along with me today.
