It was glorious. We spent most of the weekend outdoors, going from one birthday party to the next. And for the first time in a long time, I brought the big camera out too.  I used to lug that camera around everywhere when the girls were younger. Back in those days I remember thinking, taking photos with a DSLR will be so much easier when the girls are older. The irony is now that they are older, I rarely use it, even when we’re at home. As much as I love the ease of my iphone camera, you just can’t beat the quality of a DSLR image. I’m going to make a conscious effort to use it more often, hopefully at least once a week.

We also spent some time indoors and Audrey used that time to work on her craft projects. Right now she’s loving making rainbow loom bracelets and illustrated storybooks. Both are totally self initiated projects.

In this latest storybook she weaved in everything she loves at the moment (Olaf from Frozen, growing plants, eating fruit and sharing with her sister).

When I flipped through it, it was like looking at an illustrated scrapbook of her life. Lately she’s been talking about wanting to make an actual scrapbook. I might just print out some photos, give her a notebook and see where it takes her.

Your girls are adorable : ) Mine all have made this picture book projects and they are among my most treasured of their creative things! I love this one. Definitely make sure you bind it and save it for her!

Bind it, that is such a great idea Elizabeth! Thank you for suggesting it, I would never have thought to do that! xo.
