caylee’s project life | week 42

It’s Caylee and I’m so excited to share my Project Life week with you for the last time this year.

I’ve never done a December Daily, and so this year I thought I’d ease into it with a few Project Life inserts. Since I’m in Europe this year, and since Christmas markets are as regular here as bread in German meals, I decided that I’d use these markets as my main focus for inserts. Week 42 saw a visit from a friend in South Africa, and our first proper snow. It was an incredibly exciting week of the year, and because of this I made use of a lot of white space to allow the photos to tell the story. Of course I still had my fun with the kits in the inserts.

Right side:

Dates covered: 18 – 24 November

Location: Karlsruhe and the Black Forest, Germany

Favourite moments: the snow, the snow, and the snow

Memorabilia: tickets from the Bobbahn, and tickets from Hunger Games

Anything special: one of my goals for 2014 Project Life is to incorporate more journaling. I took the easy way out, and copied text from a blog post and used it in my spread this week.

The Christmas markets for this week of December are Berne’s, and Innsbruck’s. I used a coin collector page protector. I love how the December, You Are a Fave kits from last year and this year work well together.

Innsbruck is my not-so-secret new favourite European city. The insert doesn’t capture everything about the place, but it hints at it, and for me that’s perfect.

Kits used: The Weekender, From Where I StandDecember, You Are a Fave and No 2, Presscards No 28, and 29, and Writer’s Blocks vol 2

This week I learned for the first time that snow can sparkle.  I hope that you see this sparkle when you look at the snow around you this December. And if you don’t have any snow around you, that you see the sparkle in the bits of December. Have a lovely festive season; enjoy it fully.

Your pages are gorgeous! I’m very jealous of your snow, here in New York we haven’t had enough to stick yet!

And I’m jealous that you get to live in New York !

Beautiful pages Caylee! I especially love the snow page and your written reaction to it! Priceless memory.

Thanks, Donna. I’m definitely trying to get more journaling into my weeks.

Oh how charming … I hope you have a sparkly festive season too, Caylee!

Thanks, Sue.

[…] One of my favourite weeks of 2013, and I’m sharing it on the paislee press blog. […]

I had never heard of a Christmas market. I had to look it up! Your pages are beautiful and thoughtful and create such a great sense of mood.

This is beautiful, Caylee…

Great pages! I’ll use the idea of showing the cinema tickets with the cinema next week, that looks way better than just the tickets (ours are everything but beautiful)…

Welcome to Germany 🙂

Hi Caylee,
loooove your blog and your favourite pages as well!
You might have already talked about that, but since I’m new to your blog I wanted to ask what that lovely font is called that you use.
I’m starting PL this year and would love to use it as the major font 🙂
Thanks in advance!
