Happy Friday everyone, it’s Carly here again to share my project life process with you this month. I have been doing a version of project life for about 2 years now and my approach to it has definitely evolved over time. For me, the process has got to be as easy and stress-free as possible, and at this time taking a monthly approach to it fits into my life better than weekly.

Over a period of a month I document what I can, when I can. I take as many photos as I am able, some months I have piles of pictures and other months I don’t. I also use my day-timer, or even just a post-it-note, to jot down any notes or things I want to remember. At the end of the month I will compile the photos I want to use, edit them, write notes directly on them in Photoshop, print and add them to my project life binder. In addition to the photos I include a month in review journal card documenting the highlights. As of lately I’ve been using the week in review journal cards and just removing the “week” part and adding the name of the month – I love how the highlights card recaptures everything that happened in a glance.

Overall my layouts are pretty simple so I am able to keep the process as quick and easy as possible. Ali Edwards has this great quote which I remind myself of often, “There is no right or wrong way to preserve your memories.” – so simple, but yet so true! I figure documenting anything is better than nothing and most importantly the process has to work for you.

September was a pretty busy month for our family so I only have four project life pages in total. Some months I may have less and other months I may have way more, but either way I don’t stress about it, I’m just happy to have something!

For anyone out there that’s still a little unsure about taking up your own project life because you feel it might be too daunting or too much of a time commitment, I hope my post today has shown that it doesn’t have to be. It truly is such a wonderful way to document the everyday and your approach to it can be uniquely yours!

Lovely.

I really like your style – thanks a lot for this inspiration! Makes me want to do my PL now, but as I’ve done it yesterday, there’s nothing to do 😉

So pretty, Carly. I love all the white space.

What a great way to make PL work for you!

I am John, how are you everybody? This piece of writing posted at this web site is really fastidious.

Project Life can be so overwhelming, but your use of white space is so calming and beautiful. It is just so much more appealing to the eye this way, in my opinion. I love what you’ve done!
