SCRAPBOOKING + YOUR SMART PHONE

TLP-mobile-teaser

Introducing a new line of products at The LilyPad that are “mobile ready.” Essentially they are dingbat fonts (TTF) that you can download directly to your smartphone for use in any program that supports TTF, such a Over, Phonto, etc.

Note Taker No. 1 is a set of 16 hand drawn wordart and doodles to use for digital scrapbooking, hybrid projects and now…mobile scrapbooking (requires an app that supports TTF).

Don’t have a smartphone or not interested in mobile scrapbooking?  This product is available in a number of different file formats, including a PNG ONLY option if you just want to use it for digital scrapbooking on your computer.

  • TTF ONLY (Dingbat fonts are mobile ready!)
  • PNG Files ONLY (For digital and hybrid projects – select this option if you don’t need “mobile ready” files)
  • TTF and PNG (Best value!  Select this option if you’d like to use it for mobile and digital scrapbooking)

Just be sure to select the appropriate FILE TYPE from the drop down window, then click “Add to Cart” as you normally would. You will receive only the specified file type you have selected so be sure to order carefully!

For more information (like how to download your font, etc., check out this post at The LilyPad Blog.

What iPhone app do need to use? How do I download the product to get to use it in that app?

Hi Lori! There are several out there, Phonto (free) and Over (this is the one I use) to name a few.

You can download the TTF file directly from the download link that’s sent to you with your order. For more detailed info (how to download, how to use it on apps, there’s a tutorial on the TLP blog: http://the-lilypad.com/pad-going-mobile/

Thank you!!

I second Lori’s question!! I’m wondering if you could do a little tutorial on how to use these in the iPhone? I’m big into VSCO and Instagram, but don’t think either of these programs would support a ttf file?

Any recommendations on apps would be appreciated!! I really love your site and I’m looking forward to learning as much as I can before starting my own Project Life in 2014!!!

Thanks Amanda! I’ve only used OVER for adding text to photos. Once you save, then you can post on instagram.

For more info, check out this post at The LilyPad. I’ll also add the link to the post above.

So many goodies! What printer do you use to print out all your project life cards? The colours come out beautifully!

Thanks so much Melanie! Fro chalkboard type cards I usually have those printed at a photo lab, either persnickety prints or costco. The one’s pictured above were printed at Costco.

Costco! I didn’t think about that. I’ve been sending everything to Staples. Sometimes the colours don’t come out as clear. I will try Costco next! Thank you!

Hi Liz
I purchased your mobile ready doodles and I uploaded it into Phonto app..but I’m not sure how to use it on my photo. I was wondering if there is a tutorial out there for how to use these..I use similar doodles in A Beautiful Mess app but there are already built into the app.
So excited that you are making mobile ready stamps..love your style
Thanks

Hi Moi! Yes, there’s a tutorial on the TLP Blog:

Those note-taker doodles are so cute! I just love them.

This is awesome, Liz! I wish I could hire you to be my personal calligrapher. 🙂
Big hugs,
