The weekend came and went all too quickly. It was the first time in a long time that we didn’t have any plans. No pre-scheduled outings, no swim lessons for the girls and no birthday parties to rush off to. Just two glorious days of not having to do anything. I enjoyed the leisurely pace and even managed to be productive for a few hours. We finally tackled something on our house project list – organizing our garage.  It still looks like an episode of hoarders but we’re starting to make headway.

On Saturday night we had an amazing meal at La Orange Grande Cafe.  We got to the restaurant at 6:20 and found out the wait would be 55 minutes long. Normally, any wait longer than 15 minutes would be enough to send us away. Thankfully, there was a nice stretch of green grass in front of the restaurant that kept the girls entertained so we decided to wait it out and I am so glad we did. Everything we ordered was wonderful, from the deviled eggs to the grilled ribeye to the kids mac n’ cheese platter. The thing that I cannot get out of my mind though, is their key lime pie. Perfectly tart and sweet all at once and absolutely divine. There are few desserts that I obsess over but that pie, oh that pie! It’s on the top 5 list for sure.

    Loved the look of the deviled eggs… Yum want some now.
    It looks like it was a great family dinner out. Lucky you had some
    grass for the kids to play on. Mine would not have coped they seem to
    get to the restaurants Starving ! We have to make reservations for 5.30/5.45
    or they ….and us can’t cope lol !
