maryann’s project life | summer vacation 2013

Hi everyone! It’s MaryAnn here, one of the new Project Life-Pocket Page Artists for Paislee Press. I am a wife to a firefighter and mama to two little girls who constantly keep me on my toes with their curiosity and wild imaginations.

To me life is about capturing daily life with photos and words that pass by in an instant. Everyday is busy and full of wonderful and challenging moments that bring growth and happiness into our lives.Ordinary days filled with special moments I don’t want to forget.

Project Life tells my story … about my family and my life from my perspective. For me it is a reminder to pick up my camera and capture the everyday. The focus is on everyday life, the little everyday ordinary moments that make my life so wonderful.

My family just returned from our summer vacation at the beach and I’m going to share the project life spread that I made from the first part of our trip.

I used the Road Trip Journal cards, Road Trip elements, and the Ultimate Vacation Day 5 Press cards.

I used a Becky Higgins Design E Photo Pocket Page Protector and printed my photos to 6×6. I enlarged the snapshot circle from the Road Trip elements collection and used my circle punch to cut it. I adhered to the outside of the sheet protector.

I used a Becky Higgins design D photo page protector for the second part of my spread.

For my title card I used 2 journal cards from the Ultimate Vacation Day 5 and then cut circles out with my circle punch. I then added the year with red American Craft thickers. I printed a copy of one of the map overviews that we used on our trip to California and added chipboard arrows and a geotag to mark our route.

I needed a few extra photo spaces so I added an extra 4×6 adhesive photo flap that holds two additional photos and when opened up reveals two more 3×4 photos.

I love adding inserts or extra photo pockets such as the one above to add a couple more photos to your spread without adding to much bulk to your page.
