Hey everyone! It’s Carly here, one of the new Paislee Press hybrid artists. I currently live in a super small town in the middle of the Canadian prairies with my very supportive husband, beautiful twin daughters and our two crazy cats, and I am so excited to share my first project with you today!

For today’s project I’m using the Hey There Handsome kit which will be perfect for making a little baby gift for my brother who just had a little baby boy!

Here’s what you will need: some iron-on transfer paper, a package of onesies, your iron and ironing board, a white tea towel and gift bag (optional). Can you guess what we are going to make? How about a cute gift set of baby onesies!

First you’ll need to open up Photoshop. I like to start with a blank 8 1/2 x 11 page and build my designs from there. Because you don’t want to waste your transfer paper add as many designs to each sheet, you will be cutting them out later. One big thing to remember is when you are finished with all your designs be sure to flip your entire canvas so that when you iron-on your designs they will appear correctly.

When ironing your images on anything white be sure to use a white tea towel between the image and your iron or you may get burn marks on your onesies. Also, be sure to follow the instructions for the transfer paper brand you are using, I’ve noticed that some brands require a longer ironing time than others.

For the gift tag I just used two Hey there Handsome journal tags and tied them to my clear gift paint can. I probably should have bought a bigger gift can because all the onesies I made are pretty squish in there, but what’s a few wrinkles – they’ll come out.

I have made many fun iron-on transfer projects in the past including decorative pillow covers, fun t-shirts and canvas bags for my girls, and even my kitchen apron has a Paislee Press iron-on design on it! Your design options are endless when it comes to transfer paper – so what will you make?!

Thank you so much for following along with me today and you can always visit me at my blogFacebookInstagram or over at Pinterest.
