Ten Things | photobook templates

Ten Things is a collection of layered templates featuring open space and crisp white backgrounds, hand written numbers and circular clipping masks – designed specifically to make your album making experience a quick (almost effortless!) and enjoyable process.  Ten Things. Ten things I love about you. Top ten moments of the year. Ten places we visited last year. What ten things do you want document?

Ten Things is available in both 12×12 and 8.5×11 formats and both sizes are 20% OFF thru February 17, 2013.

Included in each template set:

  • 14 layered templates (psd files)
  • 1 off white background paper (12×12, 300dpi high resolution jpg)
  • elements (handwrittern number wordart, circle clipping masks, text layers, etc.) reside in it’s own layer so you can easily customize (change colors, etc.) to fit your project needs)

A couple of things worth noting.  The sample album I made, Oh What a Year (Our 2012 Year In Review), was printed at Blurb. Currently though, the magazine format is not available via BookSmart or Bookify, only accessible using an Adobe InDesign plugin. For now if you want to make a magazine style book, you’ll need InDesign. The 8.5×11 photobook size isn’t as common as the standard 12×12 or 8×8, but there are a few vendors (viovio for example) that offer this size.  Also, I think the these 8.5×11 templates would be great for creating single print outs (think inserts in your project life album!).

Thanks so much Doreen.

Hi Liz
Love,Love,Love! I was wondering how you did the 8.5 x11 magazine style using Blurb..can you explain more on how to do it?
Thanks so much.

I originally designed the album as a 12×12 and was about 1/3 of the way done when I saw the 8.5×11 magazine format at Blurb. The only catch with the magazine for mat is that you can only design it in InDesign. Because of this restriction and because I had most of the designs done already in photoshop it was just easier to import or “place” the psd files in InDesign, if that makes sense? Then I exported the entire photobook as a PDF and uploaded to blurb for printing. Hope that helps!

[…] last week, one of my favorite designers, Paislee Press, introduced a photobook template called 10 Things which follows the same idea of documenting 10 favorite things, moments, photos, etc.  What a […]
