I’m joining Ali Edward’s December Daily festivities. Setting a simple goal to take at least one photo a day.
Here’s a list of things I want to capture this holiday season:

The items with numbers in front of it indicates the day I will document that particular item. The list obviously falls way short of 25 things. On the days that I don’t have a topic in mind, I’m going to do as Ali advised and just look for one story to tell. I like this mixed approach of having a set focus on certain days and being open to whatever may come on other days.
I haven’t decided what album I’m going to use. Think I’ll figure that out when I have a weeks worth of photos in front of me. I do know that it will be printing the photos so it will be a hybrid album, not a photobook. I’m going to keep it simple – no embellishments, just the photos and text. I have grand visions of doing lots of full photo pages with text directly on the photo. So I’m keeping that in mind when I take photos.
These are yesterday’s shots. I posted the one with “1st” in the background on instagram, but I also took one with a clean background.

I am doing something similar. I am printing a 6×9 layflat album. I am doing 2-page spreads with words printed on images. I am trying much harder to write full stories this year and allowing one or two images to tell the story.

I am doing a combo december daily and special holiday events, I am participating in Tiffany Tillmans holiday templates class so i have a constant motivator and reminder to get documenting. had my first eggnog latte today and forgot my camera , oh well i will have to have another one next week :D. not a huge coffee drinker except tis time of year , impossible to resist really
I’m doing my 2nd December Daily this year. Trying to incorporate more digi this year and it’s going well so far. Full page photos with words and stories typed on them is working well but I’m not printing them all until the end. I LOVE your photo with the chalkboard/1st/coffee shot. What a fun idea. 🙂 I can’t wait to see your album!!
