project life | week of july 17

I’m still on the black & white photo kick. New this week? I’m channeling lots of Kelly Purkey goodness. After seeing the amazing layouts she recently created for Studio Calico (and this one in particular) I was totally inspired to give this misting thing a try.

This is the week of July 17 – 30.

Close up of left side.

The red label framing “PLACES”  is this vintage black label stamp by purple onion designs.

Another audrey-ism recorded. The journaling card is from the then & now printables set in my shop.

The frame here is from my snapshots (the frames) kit.

Added a 8.5×11 page insert – my favorite part of this week’s spread!  This layout is completely inspired by Kelly Purkey’s when skies are grey page.

On the other side of the page protector is what Audrey was holding in the photo above.  Printed the journaling on white cardstock and adhered her pet bug project to the page.

Again I used a journaling card from the then & now printables set in my shop.

She can tell time now, give or take 15 minutes.

So back to this misting thing. I’m a messy sprayer. What do you guys do to lessen the mess?  I started off by laying large sheets of paper on the floor but I found that I was still spraying outside of the covered area.  I ended up putting the layout inside a banker’s box and so far it’s done a pretty decent job of keeping the mist contained. I’m sure there’s an easier way?  Your tips are greatly appreciated.

“I love you impossible!” — that’s great! My Audrey is almost 5, and for her the biggest thing is “one hundred”. She would say, “I love you one hundred!”

She is adorable Lisa.

i do all of my misting in an old shipping box – there’s really no better way of keeping it contained.

love your PL – i might need to pick up those printable journaling cards!

i am in LOVE with your PL! LOVE IT i tell ya:)

incredible! you always just blow me away!

Gosh… I love how you’re including little layouts in your project life. Beautiful. I spray in a cardboard box too.
I just bought those cards last week. Love them!

Oh Marcy!! Thanks for grabbing the cards, I can’t wait to see what you do with them.

Audrey’s phrase should totally be wordart! This is amazing, Liz!

LOL. Good idea Lex, I’ll get on that. Soon. 🙂

OMG! This is simply gorgeous!!! And Audrey’s phrases are adorable! 🙂

You inspire me so. So much I just created something with one of your kits. Love that you’re giving me tools to use to express myself. Love.

Do you print your pictures off your home computer? …Or do you have them printed from Mpix, Shutterfly or other store…??

I use costco.com – order online and it’s ready for pickup in an hour. I live 5 minutes away from one so it’s very convenient.

dude. you’re misting! ack! i use my big ol’ SC box to contain my misting. before i just went at it on my desk and ended up misting on a bunch of freshly printed photos. not good.

You keep on coming with new ideas , can’t believe it! You’re sooo clever ! Maybe your next kit would better be named ‘innovative’ 🙂 It’s a true pleasure visiting your blog, Liz! Thumbs up for you !

Hiya, I was just wondering… where do you get the plastic wallets that you slot the photos into? Thanks!

The photo pockets are the Design A Page Protectors by Becky Higgins. You can purchase project life photo protectors at Amazon, hobby lobby and select independent retail shops.
