conversation pieces (spotted in the gallery)

Peppermint and I are amazed by the amount of pages that have already been submitted for the challenge we posted earlier this week. I just wanted to share a few of the ones that caught my eye as I was browsing the gallery tonight.

The journaling is wonderful, both in the way it was written (love that the she phonetically spelled out the way he says the words) and the way the text was placed in the individual boxes – excellent utilization of space.

Need I even say how much I love the way she worked the white space here? And I love that her journaling consisted only of the quote because the photo tells the rest of the story. Perfect example of when less is more effective.

The journaling cracked me up (wish I had that little bit of sassy in me when I was growing up), and Lorraine’s design has the perfect balance of white space, color and texture.

This was another one of the pages that had me giggling. And I love the design of this page, it’s a wonderful example of how you can modify a template and make it uniquely your own.

If you haven’t joined in on the fun yet, what are you waiting for? Stop by the spotlight thread to grab the freebies (but hurry, they will only be free for the duration of the challenge and the challenge ends Feb. 12th).

I’ll be back tomorrow to share inspiration pieces from the creative team. Be sure to also swing by Peppermint’s blog to see which pages she’s featuring this week.

I want to join this challenge! Such a great idea. Would we still be able to use the templates after the challenge is over, do you know?

I also popped by to let you know that I've nominated you for Stylish Blogger award 🙂

Yes, you can most definitely use the templates and elements after the challenge is over.

Thank you for the nomination too. 🙂

Liz, what a surprise for me to wake up and see that you had "spotted" my layout and posted on your blog to share with everyone! I love the challenge that you and Peppermint are hosting this month. Everyday, I can't wait to come home from work to do a bit of scrapping. Your Dialogue kit and Conversation Pieces are wonderful! I do hope I can put a photobook together of all Bostyn's new words. Thank you so much!

Just a quick note to let you know that a link to this post will be placed on CraftCrave in the DigiFree category today [04 Feb 12:00am GMT]. Thanks, Maria

Oh Liz thanks so much, it has got me thinking about all the wonderful, silly, naughty things my two used to say. There is another page I want to do which I'm hoping to get done this evening.

Thanks again Liz (and Peppermint).

Thank you for your wonderful kit, I have so much fun with it!
